Abstract
This paper chronicles the early success of ultrasound-guided minimal access drainage for abdominal abscesses in 12 patients. Using the Seldinger technique under local anesthesia, the procedure achieved complete resolution in 9 out of 12 patients. The study highlights this method as a viable, less invasive alternative to traditional open surgical drainage (laparotomy) in resource-poor settings.
