Severe acrosyndactyly and digital amputation following amniotic band syndrome in a Nigerian neonate, case report and review of literature.

This case report highlights an uncommon presentation of amniotic band syndrome in a 5-day-old neonate. The infant presented with distal swelling of the left foot and a pre-existing digital amputation of the right index finger. The study emphasizes the need for a multi-disciplinary approach to management and surgical intervention for functional and cosmetic improvement.
